Default V1 is back from VR and is alive and kicking

After not having recieving for a while i called VR monday and the lady said it was being shipped out that day, so i got it today, immediately put it back in my Stang, and went out driving with it (on a rural road that there is usually county cop that runs his contant-on Ka), well lo-n-behold, i come around a corner and Ka goes off ahead, it gets a little stronger and a little stronger, then i come over a hill and see him appx a tenth of a mile ahead facing me, on the left, behind a mailbox. however, he didnt have his front antenna on, only his rear, cause as i passed him the rear came on at full blast (and also it only remained 1 in the bogey counter). over all i had a .3 mile detection going towards him (which i believe is awesome considering he only had his rear antenna on, and him being over a hill) the rear Ka waves mustbe bounced off of his rear approaching cars and thus, set off my V1. and after i passed him the rear antenna kept the Ka for .9 miles (again very good because it after i passed him it was straight for a little and then went up a hill and around a corner). i realize this could prob be in the real experiences section, but it also had to do with VR's service 8)

Do you still have version 3.818?

I don't recall what you sent it in for. Was it out of tune?

What ES13Raven meant was, an update for 3.818 came out in June 2005 with version 3.819
This was an attempt by VR to fix the "J" alert on real threats and was a free upgrade for 3.817 & 3.818 versions.
Did you check your software since it came back?

That software (3.819) may have fixed the J Bug though it suffers on the Ghosting.

Oh, you have it, yea those ghosts are the reason why I sent my 3.818 back and kept my 1.7
Back in 3/05 when I had it Mike in the lab refused to acknowledge that there was a problem.
I shipped it to repair before the return department and he tested it for a day or two with no ghosting issues.
I still cannot tell from all the posts if ghosting is gone in newer units?
