well V1 arrived today, i hooked it up to my car and check the software, 3.858.
Right out of the bat the V1 started picking up the X band sensors to open the doors on the parking garage at school. The V1 picked up 3 bogeys with no ghost to what i believe. 2 on the top level and 1 on the bottom level. Hard to explain but it was correct to my knowledge. The Arrows worked pretty decently well. traveling down the main road in the shopping district the V1 picked up soo many x and k bogey's that in my opinion would make the detector hard to use unless you knew the falseing pattern. Even Advanced Logic wouldnt completely shut it up. On the interstate the V1 quieted down even in All bogeys model. I didnt get about 1 bar of X every now and then but nothing to be really worried about. A truck with what i believe was an old er beltronics model that was somewhat poorly mounted passes me then i sped up to him, good news is that V1 didn't go off. On my way back to campus i picked up two X band crapras, once passed me on the other direction, the Arrows followed it perfectly. there was a truck with a RD in the middle and when he passed me i got 4 bars of X quickly then nothing. I continued i get intermitted X on my way to the exit to another interstate. Then i got almost a full blast of K from behind and thought i just got instant-on but i didnt see a cop anywhere. My only encorter with Omaha's Finest was a car with no overhead light, no rear radar but front Radar. V1 didn't go off. I picked up the same X signals on my way back into the garage.
first impression - this being my first radar detector, i can say that it falses to just about everything but it is designed to pick up all radar sources. However it can be hard identifying if there is a real threat at times. Well see what i think in 25 or so days. It might be going back to VR idk yet thought. Well see how it performs on the interstate tomarrow.
