    Default Upgrading my V1?

I am sending my version 1.8 in tomorrow to be updated to latest version. Is that a good move in light of some of the issues with the "j" junk detection algorithms?

Well, 1.8 has been the standard for quite some time, so it's more of a matter of which firmware revision you have.

It certainly can't hurt (yes, hurt, because unlike happya$$, I'm a dumba$$!) - some of us had a problem with 3.821 and J falses, others didn't (such as myself) - so if you really want to get 3.824, the latest version, there's really no reason not to do so.

I've also been considering sending mine in for some time now. I think I'm going to do it here pretty quick while work is slow and I'm not having to be on the road a lot other than to and from work.

Supposedly there's a bug with firmware version 3.824 that prevents the K-band muting features from working. I won't miss it, but you might want to wait until they've got that ironed out. If you call and ask about this specifically they will probably tell you what the deal is. Other members heard that it was going to be ready by this week or next week.

I'm running the original 1.8 verison. No POP. I guess I will go ahead and send it in.

The K muting issue in option 7 for most people wont be an issue. If you currently dont use the k muting option now then I would send it in for the 3.824 since the option 7 is the only known issue. If you decide down the road you wish the option 7 muting you can always tell them you tried this option and it wont work. I am sure they will be happy to update it for you then and who knows there may even be a newer software by then.

The latest bug people are talking about is that the K-band muting doesn't work. But if you don't use that feature, it's not going to be an issue for you. This is with firmware version 3.824, which is the latest to date.

i tried the k band muting on my 3.819... i spent some time in a grocery store parking lot... it never automatically muted the source, just delays the time its muted for... right?
