Still not right?
Ok so I got the V1 back from Mike, but I am not sure it is fixed. It could be that I just haven't had it for awhile, but I swear it use to ramp all the way up to the false alerts I tested it on. I guess I will keep testing it until I get some real hits. If the range is really poor then it is going back for another check up. Has anyone else had to send their V1 back more than once for repairs?
I had a defective K band that did that weak thing on top of a gun one time but unless it is a design flaw VR does excellent work.
Could be that your false alerts are not strong anymore? Try a different RD.
Remember false alerts are not as strong unless you are on top of them.
Well the false alarms are automatic doors that operate on X and K band. The K band seemed ok, but the X band didn't seem to have the same urgency that it did when I first bought the RD. I've tested these false alarms extensively with my STi and RX65 and both ramp up to full alert. Which says something about the V1 since most of the time my Bel's don't ramp up to a full alert. I don't know maybe I am remembering it differently than what it was. I guess I will just keep an eye on things for a few weeks and see what happens. I find it hard to believe Valentine would let it out the door with any problems.

What did they do to your V-1?
I called Valentine and they told me that they recalibrated my V1 and repaired the circuit board. I also explained to them that I was unsure if the unit was 100% and they told me to keep testing it and if it seemed like was still out of tune to send it back in. The lady I spoke with was really nice.
