    Default V1 White Casing?

    Guys,

What do you guys think if V1 would offer different colered casings? I would personally pick white since it deflects the sun rays and may keep it cooler.

I once saw a V1 on Ebay that had been stripped of its powder coating and polished to a chrome finish. It was like a mirror! If that doesn't reflect the sun then I don't know what would.

Personally I'd stick with black because it's most easily hidden in my car.

out of sight, out of mind.

Why do you think most people that carry firearms, (concealed or open carry), do not carry Nickel plated, Chrome, or two toned handguns? They carry blued steel, or black.

didn't Whistler (several years ago) have a white-cased radar detector...and I actually think it was a MARINE/BOATING radar detector?!

A white V1 would be both a thief's and a cop's dream come true. It would be much easier to spot than the original black color. A lot of V1 owners would not want it to be white because of the V1's strong brand image. It is supposed to be the black bad@$$ warrior of radar detectors that picks up both radar and laser the best and tells where it is coming from and how many possible threats are out there. Valentine himself probably wouldn't have it any other way. Someone else made a good analogy to changing a V1 is like changing the shape of a Porsche. If you really want white then you could easily just do it yourself anyways.
