As an owner of a Valentine 1, I find the directional arrows to be a neat little feature...but not as overwhelmingly important as some make it seem.
Side Arrows - as I drive to a perpendicular angle to the radar source, and arrow indicator flashes to side...how do I know if the radar is being directed from my "right" or "left". Valentine's side arrows do not indicate specifically right or left.
Rear Arrow - this I have to admit is helpful...when LEO is approaching from behind.
Front Arrow - is relative, as this is typically the first indicator when approaching radar. But the fact remains that when driving on a straight road, toward radar, the LEO is almost always aiming the radar gun from either the right or left side of the street. Right? So...
how about including two additional arrows to the Valentine display, to identify radar coming from in the 10 and 2 Positions (on a clock)? This addition would literally cover you from most every scenerio.
