Default Looks I may have to send my V1 in

Today on my way home from work I ran into a Ka signal that was silent, I didn't touch the mute and the volume was all the way up, the Ka signal went from the front to the rear then back to the front all with 1 on the strength bar, then right after that went away (very short like 5 seconds) I got a laser alert and there weren't any Infinity's in front of me or behind and I did not see any HID lights in the oncoming traffic so I don't think there was one over there, and there was not a trail blazer anywhere around. I cant explain either one of those alerts.

Although today on my way to work I ran into a statie shooting laser and the V1 picked it up fine, I saw him way before the V1 went off, slowed from 80 to the 60 psl then right after I get to the PSL he hits me, so I am fairly confused on what is going on with my V1.

    Hmmm...

I would find your normal falses and test it out there for a bit, other then that... I would give VR a call, speak to the tech. deparment, and see if they have anything to say about it.

(To be honest... the stray laser alert I wouldnt worry about, if it seemed to do fine earlier in the day... it could have just been an odd glare or something that was ~904nm that caused the V1 to go off. Also there are many other cars that cause my V1's laser alert to go off besides just Infinity's and Trail Blazers... Mercedes, Oldsmobile Bravada's (brake lights) etc etc come to mind).

The Ka issue is what I would worry about.

    I see you have a .851... any 'E' issues?

Well I got a KA hit that was at the muted volume (which can be considered silent since I have it all the way down) but I had mine in little l mode. I thought that it didn't mute KA only X and K?

    Any thoughts Airmoore or anyone?

If you muted a false earlier, it's possible that the V1 was still on mute when the Ka was picked up, if the false was still being picked up, or less than 10 seconds with no signal elapsed. If you hit mute twice, the bogey-lock is muted as well.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

"Little L" I am assuming you mean Logic Mode... should only impact X band, it should not impact K or Ka at all... so in other words it should only be muting X-band alerts (and 'weak' ones at that)...

Are you sure you had the volume up to begin with? I honestly don't know what to tell you, Logic mode shouldnt impact K band, and certainly not Ka band. (If I remember correctly from the manual).

Yeah good point, you (Ace) never mentioned if you had recently muted any other signals... that would cause the V1 to mute the Ka if it was within the 10 seconds.

    Well airmoore. .

l won't filter the K bands, but it will suppress them on mute if you ask it to.

But it shouldn't at all touch Ka, I have no explanation - definitely call VR

I was in A mode and had not muted the V1 at all since I turned it on earlier tonight.

No E issues, Ghoisting or J problems so far, with winter coming Im really hoping that the cold wont affect the V1 at all. I will hop on the phone tomorow to see what VR has to say.

I did notice the last 2 days I didnt get a K false at all where I normally would get it, I just thought since it was raining (in mid December where the hell is our snow?) it made it hard to pick up the false. Then tonight(no rain) it picked it up just like it usually would.
