Im looking for a little insite here. In the past 5 days I have logged 40hrs on interstates driving around South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and then back to Alabama, and finally returning home to Austin last night. The V1 was with me the whole way.
So anyways, got lots of J's that were most likely crapras as I never sa an LEO anywhere after the J-out, however last night I had one that I think was a cop. I was driving on IH35 near waco and I am accelerating through traffic and as I pass a car I get a pretty strong Ka warning to the rear that ramps up immediately to around 5bars and then dissapears, so I look around no cop that I can spot (was night though so I might have missed it). A few seconds later as I crest the top of a hill ka behind 3 bars now alerts for a second or two then deedaadoo flashing J. was pretty sure it was a cop because the nearest headligths were more than 1/4 mile back. So I turn the unit off, wait a little and back on, ka 3 bars a few seconds then J, so off it goes again two more times with the same results. So then I let it sit thinking maybe a cobra is causing it to not alert to the cop so after the 4th on/off I let it sit, about 10 seconds after the J, ka behind again 3 bars then silence then J about a second after the alert went away. So I enter programming mode and dissable POP. Turn the unit back on and silence no Ka, no J's, nothing.
So finally my question, what the hell was going on, can a crapra set off the V1 from over 1/4 away at 3 bars no less? Was I getting POP'ed from behind and the unit kept rejecting the signal? Can POP even be used in moving mode? Why did I not get any Ka at all after I disabled POP? I am really confused here, I wish I had the x50 along too so I could have gotten the frequency numbers but I didnt.
Sorry for the long post, Im just really confused, up until this point the J has been spot on and has been an awesome feature.
