    Default Auto mute for V1

Anyone know if that is coming down the pipe? It can't be too hard to program, and I think that is the one thing the V1 is missing and could use. Reaching for the mute button is a PITA. Almost enough to make someone consider a X50.... (Wow that hurt to type)

Any idea why that is? Is it a patent issue?

MV does not want to include the option of auto mute because he is afraid it will cause users to miss or ignore a true police radar threat. In short, he wants the user to consciously acknowledge the alert and manually mute it.

and automute doesnt mute it completly, it just reduces the volume of the alert.

you can dial up some version of auto mute via the custom programming steps. Refer to b, C and d.

Mikey's logic is counter-tradition: Mute when the signal is weak, not when the signal is at its peak. ( I think his logic is correct.)

    It's there already!
Several of us do not have a problem with section 7 ghz1, RacerX, nomore55
and of course me as I drive 1000 miles a week and K automute keeps it real quiet as it works exactly like X band.
CHP were never allowed to have radar up until a few years ago so when they finally got permission to get it they chose all Ka guns. However some city's such as the one I live in use K band exclusively. The trick is to use logic mode so you can still see a false or real alert happen or you can turn up the muted volume a little or you can switch to A mode for risky situations. (overrides K band automute)

Sethy automute will mute completely in advanced logic mode up to 4 LED's
However I would not recommend it. Logic is better.
