We have beat this one to a dead horse...

Mount high, doesnt matter what vehicle.

You have that tint band across your windshield; so it might not be a good idea to have the detector behind it, from what i've read/heard.

If the tint strip is metalic, then mount below it. If it is not metalic, then mount behind it

How about making a sticky that lists where the best place to mount certain brands, I know this is a matter of opinion but this might keep us from beating this dead horse over and over as to where to mount the radar detector.
    Just a thought....

Well, I believe the v1 is the only manufacturer that recommends you to mount high.

The best way is to read the manual and see what it tells you to do.

What do you guys mean by 'metallic'? Is 'TItanium' tint considered metallic or no?

    THanks

Go to a parking lot, and turn it on A mode. When it starts falsing like crazy, mount it to the roof. as see if the arrow in the front dies off. If it does, then its a metalic strip.
