    Default V1 arrow lag

Hey guys I have a V1 and just bought an Escort SOLO S2 for my brother. On my V1, the arrows have some lag when passing a stationary radar or even a LEO. Does anyone else expierience this problem with lag? Will Valentine fix it in thier upcoming radars?

    Cheers.

Common man, give the fricken things a break. You can't expect it to go directly behind the second that you pass it.

The reason it has a lag, or so I believe and read to understand is that the algorithm that the v1 uses assumes that the radar is located in the front of you until it meets certain requirements that actually isn't.

Now, if you pass an LEO in oncomming traffic - it should do much better with switching because the car is moving, you're moving and the radar gun is much more powerful than the speed signs that I'm guessing you're referring to.

It's a $400 piece of equipment, not a $4,000 piece of equipment. The arrows do just fine once you learn how to interpret them.

Remember that if the radar is pointed forward (think flashlight or laser pointer - you aren't seeing the flashlight, but what the beam illuminates), the detector will still "see" the radar in front until you are far enough past so that there is enough scatter, reflection, or direct beam going into the rear.
