Default SHUT OFF X BAND AND REAR LASER

Ok, I shut off my x band, never seen an X signal in all my years of using a radar here in the anus state of Illinois. Also, if no one is worried about jamming the back of their car against laser why would you leave the V1s rear laser on and get false signals from headlights of high end cars? :?

Dave, can you turn off rear laser detection on the V1?

There is no way to turn off just the rear laser on the V1. You can turn off ALL laser coverage, but I don't recommend this with the ever increasing popularity of laser amongst the LE community.

Headlights don't set off the V1, but some high-end Japanese SUVs have automatic cruise control systems that use laser, and that can cause laser falses. I've seen this happen with both oncoming (front) and following (rear) SUVs.

I've been lasered in the back, so I do recommend rear laser coverage. But if you find it falses too much, just put a piece of black tape over the V1's rear laser sensor. Problem solved.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Good to see another Illinois user.
I leave everything on, ever since an xband attack in Marengo once. You can never be too careful.

    Default X-Band in MA?

    Anyone from MA?

I also turned X band off with my brand new V1 (yay!), around the Boston area, in what I've seen, over 5 years of using radars,X is not used for polic radar. They are like 80% K, 20% Ka. Anyone have a different opinion?

Edit: no, not 100%K, there's a bit of Ka I've seen at times by them stateys
