O. M. G. Where do I start. I have no clue at all why everyone with a V1 loves it so much. First off people warned of the falses. They never mentioned along with the amount of falses you will need 2 Advil to handle all the falses. MY GOD. False after false after false. X, K, KA, 1 Laser False from tail lights. I seriously got a headache from all the falses.
Roy's rules say not to bash anyone, well if you want to bash me, think I'M crazy, think I'M incorrect whatever say what you please. I had my first dose of the V1 and I'M not impressed.
One last complaint before one compliment....
The whole arrow idea, would be good IF it worked at least 50% of the time.
Either it pointed the wrong way or to the side way before even passing a radar location.
Now on to the good, IF you do get a real alert and you can only verify it is a real alert it's distance is about 1 to 2 tenths of a mile better range than the X50 on a KA constant on. This is impressive.
For the conclusion of my first day having the V1
Would I recommend it? Yes if you live in a rural area. NO if you live near a city.
Valentine seems to make a detector with great reception but poor filtering.
If only the V1 had the satellite idea and you could block the falses, there would be no way in hell that any radar detector manufacturer could beat them. Bad news is Escort grabbed the torch and is running with it. Props to Escort for making a way to eliminate falses. No Advil needed here.
Roy can look for an order from me soon!
