Default Cold messing with V1 remote display

I go to start my car this morning and it has problems starting(like normal when it is out of the garage all night), well about the third time the car cranked over the forward arrow came on only the arrow no bands no strength, on the remote display in my dash.

The Valentine was NOT hooked up to the cars power in any way, and the arrow stayed on until I plugged the V1 in and turned it on, I snapped a pic with my phone before I plugged the V1 in.

What can cause this, and should I be worried?

I'd say it is fine. . . there really isn't anything you can do about it unless you want to have a switch that you can put inline to stop the power from getting to the display when you crank, but sounds like a bit more work than it is worth. I'd play it by ear and see how it goes.

If I hooked that switch up, would the V1 unit's display start working or would it all be dark?
