Default New V1 displays P on startup

Is it normal for a straight out of the box V1 to display P when starting ?

Mine displays p-o-p when the "pop" feature is activated. A single "p" means that the program is changed from the default settings. You may want to check your programming. http://www.valentine1.com/lab/MikesLabRpt3.asp I don't know why your would have the programming changed from the factory, maybe yours was selected for spot quality checking.

I'm fairly certain it is the single "p" and not "p o p". Is there a way to reset to factory defaults?

    Default having

Having pop turned on will show p,o,p during start up. Make sure unit is off, then as you are turning it on make sure you push the knob in and that will allow you to set your V1 the way you want it to be set.

I know what the letters stand for, and how to program it. Is there a way to reset to defaults without going to each setting individually?

Not that I know of. To restore defaults just program all arrows up on each step of the programming process, should take less than a minute.

The 1.8's AFAIK will not show a p if it has been changed from its original programming. The LED"s will lightup or not light up on the strength meter based on what selections are on or off.

The 1.8 will on default display p-o-p following the startup sequence to show that POP is enabled. Might want to check again. I'm sure it is just pop on.

For the next question - no way to factory reset - other than all arrows to the up position as stated earlier.

Thanks. It is probably the "p o p" message that I am seeing then.

Why don't you go turn it off and back on and see if it says p o p when powering up

My 3.826 is custom programmed with the pop off, it displays a single p on start up.
