    Wouldn't it be nice if they would just send us the new board that we are looking for like Del does with their computers.
    No more going without a unit for a week and a half, just 30 minutes.
    It is so easy my 1.7 has three circuit boards that simply connect with pressure pins.
    Although I stopped doing this because I think that I made something loose back in March. (reason for repair)

    That would be nice. They could do it similar to car parts, where you have a core charge that is refunded as soon as they get the original board back. They probably don't want the liability of the average joe making a mistake or discharging static to the boards, though.

    I hope they call soon. Im sure there is some way of going through programing to see what firmware revision is on the unit right?

    I. How to enter the Programming Mode.

    * Starting with the Control Knob in the "off" position, Press and hold-in Knob and at the same time turn the Knob “on;” continue holding in the Knob until all front-panel lights are on (takes about 5 seconds).
    * Release the Control Knob.

    II. How to determine your software version.

    * Press and immediately release the Control Knob to display software version. The software-version number is four digits that display one digit at a time in the Bogey Counter-example: 2.869.
