    Default V1 Settings Question

    1. Ka more responsive- what does this do and wouldnt you naturally want it more responsive?

    2. False alarm guard on Ka- what does this do and what happens if i turn it off? No more J(unk) warning?

    3. Automatic mute of K band b thru G? what is this?

    4. the auto mute function (i.e unmute at 6) works for all modes?

I've never tried this mode but I think it just makes the signal strength meter read higher on Ka.
    2. False alarm guard on Ka- what does this do and what happens if i turn it off? No more J(unk) warning?
False alarm guard filters out frequencies that are commonly polluted by cheap detectors. You'll get many more Ka falses if you turn this off.
    3. Automatic mute of K band b thru G? what is this?
It's similar to the "small L" mode for X band. K band signals will sound at the muted volume until (a) the signal remains for longer than the number of seconds specified by the b thru G switches, or (b) the signal strength is at 4 bars or more at the start of the encounter if E is set, or the signal reaches 6 bars if F is set. You need to turn on option 7 to enable this K-band automute.
    4. the auto mute function (i.e unmute at 6) works for all modes?
Auto mute only works in "small L" or "big L" modes, and if option 7 is switched on. "A" mode disables all auto muting.

I would recondisder muting K from the rear. Here in the anus state troopers will frequently shoot cars if front of them as they tail behind. See it on a weekly basis.

Actually, that should be "Automatic UNmute K @ 3 seconds". First 3 seconds of a K alert is muted, unless...
    Stay Mute K @ 4 lights
...you have this on, which means UNmute (or more specifically, don't mute) any K band signal that starts out at 4 bars or higher. Useful for instant on assaults. If you have Unmute at 6 bars enabled (option F), this will unmute at 6 bars even if the signal started out weaker than 6 bars.
    Mute Rear K Band
If the muted volume isn't turned down, you can still hear the alert. Also, switching to "A" mode disables this, so if you switch to "A" on the highway you'll be protected from the LEO sneaking up from behind.

Hi, here's a few links for you.

This one tells about the different settings and what they do.
