In a nutshell, yes. It "supresses" the X band alerts until they reach a certain threshold. Like 4-5 leds on the strength meter. Scott
Yes, there is no initial regular volume if the strength is under a certain level but only in X band, unless you add section (7) K band automute, then it works the same way but with more options.
In logic mode you can still see the LED's and hear the muted volume lever.
Does not sound like you have a V1, what are you using FUCCO?
You need a Sig.
i have a 9500 right now for the past 2 weeks. I ordered a v1 friday figured i will test it i have nothing to lose. So far i am not impressed at all with the 9500. Personally i feel escort realized this way too early and there are a lot os issues with it that need to be fixed. The main one being sensitivity. In my opinion it is less than the x50. i dont know how that is possible being this is a upgrade.
I have noticed that it seems almost everyone that bought that one is sending it back.
People say the V1 is too chatty but with proper reprogramming it is actually quieter, except on laser, yet more information.
when u say "except on laser" is that beacause it is more sensitive or because of falses? I dont have many x band falses around me. However there are a lot of stores that are using k band now for their doors.
Right from VR's mouth.
Yes, my laser does not false as much or at all on laser cruise control because it is the older laser 1.7
Laser was changed around 01 to the 1.8 version which is more sensitive I think it needs a filter.
If you drive a lot or have a lot of K band falses you will love how Section (7) works.
