Why is mine J'ing so much?

I went down to Florida about a month ago. on the way down there i had 5 J's. pissed me off cuz i never get J's on mine (3.819). just the other day i was back in Alpharetta Ga, i get a Ka hit, slow down, V1 J's it out, i stay slow, come up over a slight hill about .5 mile down the road, and theres my citys PD with someone pulled over.

a couple of the J's on the way to Fla, the V1 would get a Ka, keep it for a good bit (.5 or so) then J it out. i dont recal seeing any cops after it got the hits. and none of the cars around me had crappy rd's. i swear my V1 was just f-ing wiht me and making up bogeys .

Call VR and tell them, maby you can send it in for an update that will fix or reduce your J problems.

If VR advertises it's ability to J a trooper, then they should switch to deceptive marketing. Even if there is a cheap detector that the unit is J'ing shoulden't it still alert to the other (real) Ka signal, as it would probably be a different frequencey than the detector.

Oh I missed the part where it J'ed out the real trooper! My fault. My 3.826 hasnt J'ed out a real trooper yet and Ive tried.

I recommned disabling POP and disabling Guard

Mine hasn't J'ed out a real LEO in a long time, then again... its not picking up many either as it fell out of tune a few months ago, and is again. :x


On the bright side A-Town, your V1 wants to alert sooooo bad, its making up alerts for you now.

I would say call VR up and just talk to a tech... see what they say about the situation.
