Well let me start off saying I've used the V1 for about four years now & It's served me well, which it still is. I'm military though and I just got back from a 2 year overseas tour so I had the V1 sent in for an upgrade to the latest version & a tune up in case it's gone out of wack. I get it back and the sensitivity is perfect on it. From what I can tell it's running perfectly. Tested against a couple K-band speed signs and known signals.
Here's where I'm confused though. I have to take I-40 to my new duty station every weekend and there's this one stretch of highway (about 30-40 miles of it) where about every 3-4 minutes I'm getting a full K-Band blast. As in I'm driving & there's nothing but other cars around, all tree's along the side of the interstate and no LEO's around when it occurs. Just random K blasts that light my V1 up full LED for about 2 seconds and stop. No lead up to it, just full. I wouldn't think LO from cheapo detectors would cause that much of a signal but I don't know for sure. I'm not new to this game but I'm confused on what could be causeing this, any ideas guys?
