NY State Troopers and V1

Finally decided to register after lurking around for a bit. Anyways, I'm from Ontario and I'm travelling to NYC for the long weekend. I'm planning on driving I90 from Buffalo, then either continue along to I87, or go down I81. I just ordered my V1, and hopefully it will come with 3.825. What settings do you guys recommend for NY. I understand the troopers there are using ka dual stalkers... And with laser I'm pretty much toast since I won't have any Veil or a jammer on me...

On the highway just run it in all-bogeys and keep your eyes peeled. NYS uses a lot of instant-on so it pays to drive smart. The V1 should be set up perfectly for you right out of the box.

Be prepared......those "Construction" and " Speed" signs that transmit on K Band will drive you nuts..... :shock:

Between Syracuse and Albany.....Heavy enforcement on I90, but expect Troopers with Ka on all interstates.

well the other night I drive by this K-band sign Im used to see because of construction zone.. anyway K-Band Alert started a earlier then Im used to so I deicided to slow down to legal speed.. the radar was going up and down, it usualy just increase to K1toK9 right where the sign was, there was a SQ car that you could NOT see at all that was shooting K-Band radar :shock: , so be carefull on the "FALSE" alarm

Wouldn't recommend that on the NYS thruways

put in in 'A' on the interstates and big L when off

I suggest you to not go over 20% the posted , they are smart , numerous and very well equipped.If you follow a rabbit just be carefull they often shoot mobile by your back.One time I was following a rabbit , then a very weak alert , quit following the guy , hum 2 minutes later the rabbit was nailed from the back.

75mph tops over that you are getting a ticket and NT troopers don't always site with their radar on

yeah last time i was in NY around buffalo the speed limit on the highway was 55mph... very not used to that, on the 401 here limit is 100kph, but realistically more like 120-140, which 75-85mph!

edit: it is 100kph
