Recieved my valentine a week ago and i been running on A, I been getting alot of X band falses and a few K also, the X band I mostly get in open country and always in the same location. The K is in city.
Any advice on a solution from you pro's ?

Welcome to the board. Either run your V1 in logic mode (little L) or advanced logic mode (big L). I know some places in Northern Ontario still use x band, but not sure about the other provinces. If x band really bothers you, advanced logic mode should suit you well.
Welcome to V1 world!!!!!!!!!
use 'L' - City, 'A' - Hwy....
Hope you will enjoy....
What province are you in?
That can help us in determining if X is a threat, as well as the threat of Spectre.
Saskathewan , Like i said I get alot of X signals in open hwy driving, so i'm trying big L now for a while , sure toned it down so far.Originally Posted by jerry540i
Any info well be great , thanks.
SK!! My mom's family is from just outside Yorkton.
Anyway, nice that you live in one of the provinces that allow the use of radar detectors.
On my trips into SK, I've picked up K-band from the RCMP, and K from something that looked like an Indian police van near Quappelle. Last trip was 2 years ago, so its possible that the RCMP may have upgraded some units to Ka. Don't know about local enforcement in Regina or Saskatoon though, never picked up any signals there.
As to what settings, if you're travelling 'cross country, definately use the A mode. Rural SK doesn't have much in the way of intereference, and the nice flat terrain will give you lots of warning. (Every radar I saw was constant on, so huge warning distance by the V1) If you're in the city and are getting alot of falses, big L or little L will help cut those down.

Thanks for the info, I well use A on open road trips, thanks. I work out of Yorkton and live in the Quappelle area. This east side of saskatchewan is hilly and we have alot of bush , a hour east is where the terrrain gets flat and V1 well shine , looking forward to summer when the radaring well start getting heavy.Originally Posted by jerry540i

Sorry Bro, I've never done it with my V1, I only use my V1 in the USA, and we go to New Jeresy a lot.Originally Posted by machoosh
So I leave X Band on. (have to)
In the V1 forum there are "Stickys" on how to program your V1 as in the handbook.
Unless you are 100% sure that the Police do not use X band where you are leave it enabled......
