    Default Whats a x-band J-alert on a V1?

I was in traffic next to a semi and all of a sudden my x-band alert goes on, and then the display went for "A" to "J" and then I switched it off, could the semi of been using a radar jammer?

After I passed the semi, I turned it back on and didn't get any further alert

As far as i know, J alert only affects Ka band. You could have another radar detector nearby that triggered the J alert after it picked up a X band signal.

    Default semi

I highly doubt the semi driver was using a radar jamming device. Just another Cobra setting off your V1.

I agree with both of these guys.

    Initial X Alert, it stopped.

Initial Ka Alert, went J immediately.

A lot of cobras will cause an x-band false as well as a Ka false... Your V1 did exactly what it was supposed to.
