Default VeilGuy's Valentine One Review & Tribute

As most of you guys already know, I have been a fan of Valentine Research for a long time. Since I have not dedicated a review to the Valentine One as I have to both the Beltronics STi Driver and Escort Passport 9500i, I felt it long overdue to do a feature on the V1.

    Tribute to the Valentine One

I hope you find it informative.

    the horn13,

Thanks. This wasn't meant to be an "attack" on any one tester, RT, SML, C&D, Autoweek, Automobile, Motortrend, or any other review/reviewer of the Valentine One in its fifteen plus year history.

I just wanted to set the record straight, at least, as I see it about the pluses [and minuses] of the V1 and I think it needed to be said.

BTW, what ever happened to that guy? I have fond memories of him wanting to rip me a new ... after we published the ultimate radar detector review a couple years back.

    I like this bit :-

I slowed down to about 80mph in preparation for what appeared to be an ambush from ahead. These threat level continued to increase to the point that both meters were pegged. Despite this I couldn't find the smokey in the median strip ahead where they often hide. I just happened to notice that someone was on my tail in the rear view mirror which was surprising considering my rate of speed. To my shock and horror, it was a NJ state trooper. He had managed to sneak in my back door.

Homer Simpson would be proud of you. Talk about user error pffft.

Excellent article, I couldn't agree anymore. Its the reason why the V1 is the only detector i've owned the last 6 years.
