Here is the reply I got from Valentine Research about a question I had about receiving more then one Bogey for 35 GHz Ka.

    Hello,

Sorry for not replying soon, we were awaiting for more details. Nevertheless, the following is a response from engineering:

A likely explanation is that the police officer is triggering both his front and rear guns simultaneously. The guns would intentionally operate on slightly different frequencies to preclude mutual interference, and would thus generate two alerts.

Please click on the following link to learn more about dual-radar police speed radar:

    http://www.stalkerradar.com/law_2x.shtml

Furthermore, the software version in question doesn't exist--current production is still ver. 3.861.

    Thanks,

    Michael Negussu

I have no way to prove or disprove Valentine Research comments, in theory it's probably possible.

First of all there is something wrong here. How did you know that it was 35.5 ghz Ka? What version V1 do you have? My 3.825 and 3.826 does not show 2 bogeys with 35.5 ghz Ka band. The only thing i know that double bogey is when it encounters the stalker dual in the 34.7 ghz frequency with the 3.825 and i have not tried it yet with the 3.826 version. Here's a video link of the V1 3.825 vs. stalker dual SL.

What exactly do you mean? Can you be more specific?

Have used the Escort 8500 X50 in Spec mode to find the frequency being used in my home town. I was thinking maybe the officer quickly switched back and fourth to the front and rear antenna to cause this or if there was a glitch in th the V1's software?

Switching front and rear antenna does not have any effect whatsoever to cause double bogeys with the V1 or X50. It's a fact that the kustom Ka band 35.5 ghz can cause the X50 to double bogey. What V1 version do you have? You still have not answered that question and the fact that Michael A. answered that the V1 version in question does not exist. :?

I still don't get the whole picture.

My version is 3.861 there has been question about this in this forum but unable to find in search engine. This isn't the first time Valentine Research has been made aware of this issue, and not sure if they have duplicated the same in their lab?

The only topic i have read is the X band problems with the 3.861 or i may have not read the problems you are having. I have the 35.5 kustom golden eagle and never gave me 2 bogeys with 35.5 with my 3.825 and 3.826 versions even with the antenna that was 3.5 feet behind it not aimed directly to the V1 but very close.
