Default Anybody have experience with 3.812??

I have owned probably 10 V1s over the years, never have bought one new (all Ebay), not in my meager budget. I have owned an old one without Laser capability, 4 or 5 V1.7s, and probably 3 or 4 V1.8s. That being said, I don't really know the software versions of most, but I know I just sold a V1.7 2.909, and now have been using a V1.8 3.812. I can honestly say it is the MOST pleasant V1 I have ever used.

Just went on a 300 mile trip through Ohio. Had about 3 brief X rear alerts, other than that, completely quiet. Saw two LEOs, didn't appear to be using radar or lidar. Even through my local town it is by far the quietest V1 I have ever seen. And yes, it does detect radar......haven't been through alot of traps with it, but the few I have been through it was impressive.

I know everyone has their favorite, but I was wondering how many other people had the 3.812 and what they thought of it.

I have 3.813, 1.7 2.909, 3.861, and 3.858 and the 3.813 is my favorite. I will be sending all of my detectors to Michael B. for lab sensitivity testing so I can see if my real world experience reflect the lab sensitivity numbers. If your 3.812 is anything like my 3.813 then I can see how you are happy
RIP Duncan my BELOVED black lab son 8/7/99-3/23/11. I will miss you DEARLY.

Default Seems to good to be true

Yeah, this 3.812 really seems too good to be true. Alot of the others I owned were false-happy. this one is so quiet it's a little scary, but it works when it's supposed to.
