I have version 3.824. Valentine shows no available upgrades. Can I send it in to have the newest firmware installed?

3.861 (newest) uses different hardware so my answer is NO, but I could be wrong.
Ace
What exactly is the k band muting problem with 3.824? I was going to change the k band parameters as the falses are getting a little out of hand in my daily drive through Vienna, VA. Door alarms are plentiful.
It will cost you $85 bucks to upgrade! Because it has a few new hardware pieces.
Sent it with a note that you would like the 3.825 or 3.826 correction for the K band automute glitch, worst case is they will call you and like Holla said you might have to pay $85 to get the newest hardware/software.
Problem with 3.861 is on some there is an X band glitch to keep reporting when shut off.
In case they ask about the k automute problem and want to know the symptoms, what should I tell them the symptoms are?
You don't want the "latest" software from VR right now. Some of the units have a bug that they VR hasn't been able to figure out yet, you will not be able to tell the difference and it will cost you $85.
Send in your V1 with a note that you are getting multiple bogeys from 1 source. They will update you to 3.826 which is the most stable recent version. Hopefully for free.
Call them, they upgraded my 3.824 to 3.826 for free.
Yep, they said to just send it in and they will upgrade it to 3.826 for free. The tech stated that the 3.826 was the most stable firmware and that they have had some trouble with the new V1's firmware/hardware configuration. He also mentioned that Valentine Research is currently working on a completely stealth unit for their next release.Originally Posted by Space Wrangler
