WHat is the best detector to use in New Zealand conditions?

What are the Ka frequencies used in NZ ?

Is it worth upgrading my V1 from a 3.802 to improve ka reception?

We have the in car Stalker Dual radars running at 34.7 GHz Ka and the photo radars that I've seen at 34.6 and 34.3 GHz Ka.

We also have various types of laser.

There's a sticky up on top of this forum on the various iterations of the V1.

How is your V1 performing now?

Hey a fellow kiwi, thanks for your reply, much appreciated!

It has been performing pretty well, however I must admit the range isnt as good as my old Rx65 on the Ka band. However I am told that the V1 is king on Ka ??

    How is your toy performing?

Have u noticed a that the radar antennae used by the LEO's are now black, as opposed to white. A rather cunnning move to disguise the radar or perhaps a new and improved radar?

NZ only uses Ka and laser. No K or X.

I'm suprised your V1 doesn't perform as well as you remember your RX65 doing. Maybe it needs a tuneup because it certainly should be a stellar performer.

My toys are doing pretty well They both make the constant on cruisers look pretty stupid. Different story with Instant on, laser and the speed cams though :? Always use a rabbit and keep your eyes peeled.

I have reason to believe that Multanovas are now being used in traffic patrol cars. The conventional white dual stalker radars are being replaced by black multanova radar antennae. Is this true?

An RX65 is a new unit how'd it die?

I still have my Bel that I bought in the 80s. I love how after it alerts you it switches to a clicker sound. I miss that.
