I have a Mustang convert and it has that dotted decal of a running mustang at the top of the window. It doesn't feel or look like a UV shield, but more of a cosmetic appearance item. You can actully feel the dots.
I would like to mount the detector above the mirror on the black plastic windshield trip piece that runs along the top. Temporary mount with velcro but hardwired for power.
Unfortunately, this puts the eyeballs of the V1 right in line with the Mustang decal.
Anyone know for sure if this is a UV item or the kind that will harm the performance of the detector?
As an experiment I held my eZpass over it temporarily and I didn't notice any difference.
Anyone know for sure?
The mount will be velcro temporary mount and I intend to splice into the mirror B+ for hard wiring.
Between the hood scoop and the decal, mounting in the Mustang is limited, or maybe I'm just not creative enough
