Well today I traveled about 135 miles. I encountered 3 K band and one Ka band. The first encounter was vs K band perpendicular to me with light traffic. I received about a 1/4 mile warning which me or my dad were not impressed with. The next encounter was vs forward facing CO radar in HEAVY traffic in a construction zone where the cop left his lights on and radar on. Again nothing impressive about 1/4 mile warning. The 3rd and 4th were AWESOME. I started to pick up Ka (Mentor, Ohio). Very weak signal with HEAVY traffic and a curve. The bogey counter changed to 2 with the 2nd source being K band. At this point my father asked me what 2 meant. I explained it to him then about 1.25 miles later there was a cop hidden under the overpass to the side in weeds lasering with his radar on. It was FORWARD FACING. I know this because my meter never went passed half strength and as soon as I passed him it went to full strength arrow pointing to the rear and arrow pointing to the front for K band. About a half mile later I see the K band cop in the construction zone with his lights on running CO shooting at my direction. I was blown away by the Ka alert I got (1.25 miles forward facing). I wonder what Mentor, Ohio uses for Ka. All in all good solid performance with my 3.813!
