Default Radar detection becoming obsolete in So.CA

The other day my girlfriend and I were driving on the local freeway when all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye i catch a CHP officer out of his car with his PL3 resting on the roof aiming away at traffic....

My old Whistler 1753 didn't even sound....
Im comfident my V1 would have SCREAMED...

Anyway, the point is, that everyone from the local sherrifs, to the CHP, are using Lidar....

I might go with a jammer which are illegal here, just to help save my butt....

Id rather pay a small fix-it for having a jammer then a huge speeding ticket with points...

Well for the bigger cities like orange county and such yes radar is becoming out-dated and fast. Laser is quickly replacing radar.

Definitely agree your V1 would have screamed bloody murder.

I will take a small fix it over a speeding ticket and points any day!

So what does an M20 cost? Being they are against the law don’t they confiscate them? I watched the video on the Blider site and you are surely going to pi$$ of the LEO when he has the gun on you that long and all he sees are 4 dash lines. You are going to get stopped for sure.

i guess it just schocked me that the chp had enough energy to get out of his car and use his lidar at highway traffic....

Adjust your speed and turn it off.

I would get a LPP since it is not a jammer but a parking sensor.

You know officers can issue a ticket called a "moving too fast violation". My friend has recieved one and you don't need any radar, lidar, or vascar for this.

In our county, officers are are trained so they can identify a vehicles speed by just looking at it. They are within 5mph of their guess when they do it. They are trained this way.
