After much reading on this forum, I decided to go for a V1, as most of my driving is rural/highway. I ordered it June 27th, received it June 29th. All I can say is what great service from VR!
So far I've driven about 500 miles with my 3.862. Using the tips I've read on this forum, I started out in 'All Bogeys' mode to get familiar with the V1, but X band was annoying as hell. So, I disabled POP and X band, giving me some of my peace and quiet back. So far that configuration has worked well, giving me ample warning for the 4 speed traps I encountered on I-35 while making a trip down to College Station.
I can't imagine what I would have done without this forum, as I am the kind of person who likes to read everything possible before making this kind of investment. Thank you all for supporting this community and sharing your knowledge. I look forward to being an active part of this community.
P.S.- Sorry for all of you that were wanting to know if 3.862 had the same X band problem as some of the 3.861s. I'll drive around with POP enabled and X band disabled for a while and let you know what happens.
