    Default 3.825 Ku falsing

I turned on Ku band because I had read some state ordered some Ku guns so I figured I might as well "get ready" in case I went on any trips.

Three times on the Interstate in light traffic I got a brief level-1 strength/count on Ku (Ku identified by "." in bogey counter)

I pulled over and turned Ku off.

    What's the deal?

I believe cell phones can cause falses on KU.

I would not worry about KU, whatever you read was not correct.

They couldnt even get a KU gun at SML because it wasn't working correctly.

Tried my new Bel RX65 and X50 last friday with KU on and it did gave me a good number of flase alerts. I turn it off and POP off, it sure was very quiet. I will be getting my V1 tuesday and will be trying all 3 together for 2 weeks. 30 day money back gaurantee sure helps to find out which one really works for me and which one is surely the winner. I have read SML's test and radar roy's web site about the 04 -05 testing but i have to do my own evaluation in real life scenarios. I will post my findings in 2 weeks. So far, i encountered 4 troopers in different scenarios and both the RX65 and X50 work 100% with performance being equal. I'm new and not bias to any brands. The winner will be my first top of the line RD and if i have to spend that much, it has to be the best in performance, less falsing and easy to read threats.

X50 does not have Ku. The RX65 has and it gave me false alerts.

Turned on Ku today. Didn't experience any falses at all. Passed plenty of folks using cell phones this afternoon during rush hour. Zero falses. Will keep monitoring and post if anything changes.

Didn't someone post about a system on trucks that uses Ku for blind spot coverage?
