    Default The "J" Factor

I've been doing some extensive test for the last couple months with my 3.825 and 3.826 version regarding the J alert. At one point i was worried that once a J alert occurs, it may not respond to a true radar source which i did encounter with a speed sign. As you all know we get VERY RARE true radar source that is "J" ed out with our V1 with POP feature and usually occurs when LEO already past by. This phenomenon is very hard to duplicate with several runs with different Ka band radar and even with your encounters with LEO.

So what i did to find out was to set my V1 with POP on to increase "J" alert from other Rd's. Every "J" alerts i get, i followed it by turning on different radar gun(different Ka band frequencies) onboard to see if the V1 will react to it by alerting to a new true radar source or will just be muted.

With all those test conducted, results concluded that everytime i turn on the radar in different Ka band frequencies after or during a "J" alert, the V1 will **** ALWAYS **** alert to a new threat.

If your 3.825 and up version is working just fine with no other issues, you DON'T need to worry about it or get a different version. The "J" alert works great but not 100% because we do get short burst of false Ka alert but the V1 does not junk it. Save you some money and think hard before you get another version.

I remember my 3.824 & 3.825 where always "J"ing the Delaware State Police Stalker 34.7 out. It didn't matter going or coming there was a 30% chance it would "J" them out.

I never have tried the 3.824 but i only had 1 J alert with my 3.825 in i think 2 years time and 34.7 is mostly what state troopers here. I have tried the 34.7 a lot of times in stationary and moving but won't be able to duplicate the "J" alert with true Ka band in 34.7 which i do have access to a stalker dual SL with full black antenna. If this was truely a problem, it will be easyto duplicate it. But you just can't unless you got a possible crapie RD around.

The J alert is about the only thing that has worked consistantly on my V1. The only time it J's out a real source is if my RX65 is on at the same time and the Ka is at 34.7.

If I power cycle the V1, it will normally come back and not J-out a second time.
