V3.863 Users
Well the owners of the latest version as of 7-16-07 (3.863) please speak up and state how well this version performs for you? I am about to purchase one and am just curious, for all of those who get angry at me for asking such a thing, you will find a basket of tomatoes under your seat.
Why would anyone get angry? I am curious too. "thestaton" said 3.863 maybe the sweet spot. I'd like to find out why?
how is there already a 3.863? 3.862 barely came out like a month ago

Well mine has been ok so far. I started out with the 3.861 and sent it in for the X band issue and it came back as 3.863. The X band issue seems to have been fixed but I have only been driving around for a couple of days now. Performance seems to be ok but I still question the K band performance since I've owned it.Originally Posted by Ven0mizer

Unless you have a stationary K-Band source that you can get an accurate measuring of, how do you justify the questioning of the V1's performance? If you get a K band signal at site A at a distance of X miles, you can't measure it with a K band signal at site B at distance lesser or greater than X miles. Too many different factors to be thrown into the 2 separate situations.

Yeah it seems too quick. Maybe just a fix for the x-band issue or whatever.
I will post a mini review soon on my V3.863 since but I can tell you this, so far my V3.863 perform like a champ compare to my V3.789 and STI.

Probably was a stationary source, I know when I had the old V1 I was borrowing for testing, the V1 alerted almost an 1/8th of a mile quicker than the X50 rev 5 and STi on a K band door opener, I always do 35 through this area of Gallatin as speeding gets you nowhere here thanks to a traffic light every 5 feet, and passed it several times just to be sure, so maybe that's how? *shrugs* either way, I purchased one tonight :-D hope to get it soon! I have found out the expensive way that these revs mean very little. The only significant rev change was 3.826 to 3.851
