After having my V1 for around a month or so I guess, I love it. It's had so many good detections and the range is amazing. I also feel as if my V1 detection has been far better than that of my previous detectors and I feel much more confident with it than I ever did with any of the others.
With that being said I know there has been some talk about a couple of the bugs it has. I need to run with POP on to check for x-falsing but I haven't got around to that yet. I did have my first j out this weekend, or whatever everyone here calls it. I was passing by a cop who was driving the opposite direction with constant on ka band and my V1 had detected him perfectly and with pretty good range (I'd say about 3/4 a mile on hilly road). Anyway, it had great ramp up which indicated to me very clearly on how close he was getting, and right as we were about to pass eachother, I saw J on the bogey counter and then obviously, the alert stopped and never came back on. It was on full alert when it J-ed out too.
I mean I guess it's not a big deal, I had detected him fine and it only J'ed out when I was right on him but I still think it's not a necessary feature to have on the detector. And after a month with driving with it regularly and getting countless verified LEO detections, a J-out (false or not) has only happened once. If it only happens once a month, I'm totally fine with it, but I figured I'd share this with you guys and see if anyone has more frequent or annoying j-outs.
