Default Just ordered a new Valentine One

    Hi guys,

First of all I want to mention that I have been a long time board reader, however just now decided to join... don't ask me why so late 'cause I have no idea

Anyway, I have owned many radar detectors in my life, including the original escort and just wanted to let you know that I have finally decided that I'm not going to kid myself anymore and ordered the Valentine 1.

I am currently using the STi Driver with the manufacturing code of 2407, and I am not really thrilled about it's performance. I believe that my RX65 which I have sold to a dear friend of mine, was (surprise) a little better in performance than my STi (again, measuring against my local NJ cops).

Hopefully the Valentine One will be even better

So, I just wanted to intoduce myself and let you guys know about my decision, hopefully a good one

    cheers and safe driving!

Hi there new comer, earlier this morning I put up a very similar post. I've had two other detectors, last one I purchased being 8 years ago, and have been trying to decide between the Bel 995, Sti Driver and V1 and ultimatly decided to go with the Valentine One for it's stellar overall performance history I've been reading about, despite it's more simplistic controls and display. I love the idea of the arrows and can't wait to check them out when my unit comes in today. Good luck with your new V1 and from a fellow newcomer, welcome to the boards.

    Default A New V1 Owner

You have made a great decision. I am a new V1 owner. Not only am I so happy with the product, I am very impressed and surprised how easy it is to program to accomplish a few things. The main one being to reduce false alerts. I have mine programed to not receive X bands. These are always false. I have also programmed it to delay the K alerts untill it reaches 4 bands or reaches 20 seconds. Its awesome.
    8) 8) 8)

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone

I can't wait for my "Valerie" to show up. I guess I've never been so excited about receiving a RD as I am now. I was going to upgrade my wife's whistler to the STi, but deep inside I know once she's going to see the arrows, (she always looks for the cop all over the place once her whistler goes off), I will need to pick up a second V1

    Thanks again,

    cMax
