I have a new Toyota Tundra. I have the V1 hardwired to the trucks fuse panel. I have a add a fuse thing that plugs into an exsisting fuse location. I have blown 2 of the hardwire adapters now and Iam at my wits end. Does anyone have any ideas?

Blown the RJ-11 hub box adapter? or the fuses that are in the add-a-circuit product? If I am not mistaken, the hardwire "adapter" also has an inline fuse inside it.Originally Posted by blazeman
Easiest 2 ways for the fuse to blow.
Positive and Ground touching. . or you're drawing too much.
If you're blowing the fuse in the "add a fuse" try using a different one.
If you're blowing the "in line" fuse for the v1. . check the wires and try using the standard cables if you're not. . .
if they blow again. . connect straight to battery and see if perhaps something is wrong w/ the hardwire adapter.
Are you using a 10 amp or lower fuse, that is typically recommended by the add a fuse manufacturer? and of course using the same amp fuse in the add a fuse holder? And the spot in your fuse box is a 10 amp or lower?Originally Posted by blazeman
I would also try another spot in the fuse box just in case, and make sure it is not an constant on, but a ignition switchable lead.
