Default I received an "E" on my 3.863!

I just took a trip from Norman to Dallas yesterday and 2 hours into my drive my V1 gave an "E." I was like what the heck, this shouldn't happen so soon. So I turned off my unit and turned it back on and drove it for 4 more hours total and it didn't show up again. I didn't speed since I was skeptical about it although it alerted to speed signs perfectly well and one other LEO on K band. It doesn't seem like my V1 gets good X band. I'm not sure.

Does anyone have any thoughts? I'm for sure sending it back into V1. I just got this two days ago but it is a refurbished unit. So maybe that is why. And I also did not leave it in the car or in the heat. I brought the unit in with me.

    Default send it in

Send it in but before you do, call them to make sure everything is kosher.

VR will take care of you. My V1 got an E when it was five months old, and no problem with them fixing it. If you call, they will tell you to send it in and enclose a note with the problem (i.e received an 'E'), and that's it, just wait for it to be returned.

Uhh. . you have any basis on this - or just talking out of your butt?

Every refurb v1 I've ever seen . . looks EXACTLY like a brand new one. . and I'm 99.9% that V1's business model wouldn't allow themselves to get a returned unit and send it right back out w/o passing the Quality control tests.

dont spit out of your butt without knowing ****. i bought v1 refurbished last week , it was all screwed up and i had to return it after speaking to vr. just cos you think retrurned ones look like new doesnt mean they work like new.

    Geez, not this again...

Yes, definitely send it into VR to have it checked out. If anyone else gets an "E" error, make sure to take a picture of it with your cell phone so VR can't say it didn't happen.

That is only one v1 out of thousands of refurbs.

One bad experience does not mean this is true for all refurbs.

My refurb owns everything in sight so how do you explain that?
