i did the bcd option and i set it for 10sec automute on k, i understand that it unmutes at 4 led's . my question is why doesnt the same concept work on rear k mute?
rear k never unmutes at 4 led's why?

Rear K band will not unmute if you have option G set to down regardless of time or meter strength.

i know ace, my question is why? wouldnt it be better if it unmutes at 4 led.
if there is a cop behind you, cant hear anything with this option on.
i wish they implemented same 4 led thing for G too.
Well logically thinking once a bogey has gone to the rear it is no longer a threat to you coming from the front. However, if it starts behind you in Advanced Logic (L) mode you will never know until it switches to the side ot front.
Just the way the automute is set up really.

that sucks man, i will be pissed if i get zapped from behind.
without G on, it is hell of a ride with v1 with constant k alerts.
Yes it does.Originally Posted by guit123

The million dollar question is do you want to take that risk for the comfort?
Sorry about that.

doesn't it sound off the bogey lock tone? I think your making this a bigger deal than what it is. if your in a crowded area where you have to use the filter then you are probably not to worried about getting tagged by K from behind. it really only takes a second to change it to A...
it is impossible to predict when a cop is behind. if i have to use A it will totally defeat the purpose of auto mute.
i dont think it is that complicated to implement same 4 led unmute for rear antena too... after all it works for front antena.
(G) is optional K muted at all times, you don't have to use it.
Section (7) automutes front side and REAR K band at your chosen time and LED threshold without setting (G) yet rear still breaks at thresholds just as front and side.
The nice thing about (G) arrow down is after breaking the time or signal strength threshold on a city automatic door opener (G) automutes the breakthrough as you are passing, it's as if the passenger hit the mute button for you.
ok, thanks man, i didnt know the bcd option works on both front and rear 4 led break.
