Has anyone ever had the nightmare that the V1 came unattached from the window and fell to the floor or was dangling by the hardwire cord (if u have one).
Well, that became a reality the other day.
The adhesive on the backside of my velcro apparently couldn't take the heat any longer (this after two weeks of working great).
I came out to find my V1 hanging by the hardwire cord. Lucky it is hardwired otherwise it could have fallen to an uncertain death .
I notice that my rj11 plug on the hardwire no longer functions properly. The tab doesnt snap in so I have to put it on the outside of the rubber boot to create enough of a resistance to cause a "clickin motion" when it locks in.
The V1 seems to work fine and still detects both laser, ka, and k band.
However, is there any chance it could have hurt the internals or the Rj11 port where it plugs in? It must have fallen pretty hard and then recieved a "whiplash" like motion when it bottomed out on the hardwire cord. Also, is it easy to change Rj11 heads?
I'd rather not change the whole wire as this is a major hastle to take the car interior apart.
