Default I want to make SURE I am understanding the programming

I have a new V1 W/remote. The remote is mounted in my guage cluster. I have very dark tinted windows & where the remote is mounted is a dark area so if the band LED or the arrows light up it catches my eye immediately (I could run the R/D with the sound turned off & never miss an alert)

I have POP off, Ka set to more sensitive & K band auto-mute set to 30 seconds. I run in little l most of the time.

From what I understand, I will ALWAYS get a visual alert in either A mode or little l even with the programming changes I have made, no matter what I get hit with. Am I understanding this correctly???

Yup. You always get the same visual alerts between l and A.

Although you are not making Ka more sensitive, the setting actually just makes it respond as if it's a stronger signal when you do alert to Ka.

I actually prefer this setting off because it makes it seem the LEO is closer than he really is.... it doesn't give a good judgement of how far he is. Just my preference though.

Thanks for the info, I will probably turn that back off also.

Yeah it would always just make me think I was already right on the cop so it scared me a bit everytime. Now it's easier for me to tell how far away he is.

Also I'll actually know now whether or not he's using instant on... before when I had the more responsive Ka, it always felt like someone was using instant on.

But just try both out and see how you like it.

So when you program the K band automute, do you use l or L?

I'm totally confused. I turn off X band, but in the city I want to mute K band and on the highway I don't?

    Thanks

Ok, I answered my own question. Little L will keep the K band quiet for 30 seconds but show it, Big L will not show it at all until the 30 seconds.

Man I hate sounding like a noob when I have over 800 posts..

Yup that's perfect. I have rear k-band muted too. It helps a lot.
