Yea, some idiots are selling units like this on ebay. One guy was selling one that showed a picture of hte serial number but it was just a white tag. I coudln't see any numbers unless the flash had just blurred it out. He was also using it for another unit which was being sold (and claiming it was the actual picture of the unit being sold).

Wow, two different units with pics that look "identical"(and an unreadable serial number).

I messaged him to ask what the serial number was and never received a response. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

By the way, half of the people selling V1s on ebay are completely incompetent compared to the people that browse this site. All they know is 1.7 or 1.8 "POP 2" etc. They have no idea what a revision even means.

I'd skip on the Ebay ones. They are either overpriced or defective. Instead, I'd recommend browsing around on Craigslist. I use craigshelper.com to locate listings in multiple cities. I got my v1.8 3.856 in perfect condition with original packaging and accessories from an old grandpa for 200 shipped. I've seen others go for as low as 150.

Wave it as much as you want. Doesn't change the fact that it's true. I have the V1 unit as well as the Paypal receipt to show for it. :P

In fact, a quick search through CL just now shows a V1 for 225.

No BS. Most of the people selling stuff on Craigslist don't want to screw with the eBay BS. There also aren't the host of kids with too much money on their hands running up prices $100 more than what they should be. I love selling stuff on there because of that, but trying to buy some items just sucks because of it.
