Default 35.5 increases chances of "J" alert?

I Had 2 "J" alerts lately with 35.5 as the signal fades. I have not experience this with 34.7. There are 2 towns where i work where local LEO uses kustom GE. It doesn't happen all the time but noticed this lately having J'd a LEO source with 35.5. Try to notice this too guys if in case you encounter 1.

I brought this up because this is the second time it J'd LEO and i was able to ID the radar unit used.

I have been using my 3.826 version V-1 for over a year (maybe 2 now)
and I have yet to have a False "J".

Every "J" that got displayed has been from some piece of schitt low-end detector.

I even had a valid KA alert, then a "J" as a car went by with a POS on the dash and it immediately went back to alerting to the valid source of the sherriff sitting across the road from me.

I have driven 50K miles with this unit almost all over this country too!

Same here. Never a "J out" of a real radar source.

    azone,
I don't know if this amounts to s*** from shinola or not but I wonder if it has anything to do with the frequency shift when you pass out of the front antenna beam to the rear one. Never had this issue with my V1 BUT my X50, in spec mode for what it's worth, will show 35.5** then go to 33.2** and back to 35.5**. Could cause a "j" out???

First encounter was LEO ahead of me traveling same direction with steady pickup of signal at low level. When he turned it off, the V1 J'd the signal. Second encounter still with Kustom GE with cruiser facing west in front of police station angled towards the south and me going south. As i passed him and the signal fainted, it J'd the alert.

I know that the kustom GE with show 2 frequencies with the X50 and actually shows 2 bogeys in expert mode with only 1 antenna. There is no shift of frequency when you pass the beam from front to rear antenna because with the kustom GE, you can only use one antenna at a time. For some reason, the 35.5 kustom radar unit will do this to the X50 and 9500i - same technology used here between the 2. I don't know if that will contirbute to causing a J alert. Just happened to encounter the J alerts with the kustom GE with my 826 version. This is really not a big thing becasue it happens when signal has fainted and threat is gone.

I've had it happen on 35.5Ghz before. There is one LEO in my town that drives a D.A.R.E Jeep and he is always running CO 35.5 Ka. I've J'd him out at least 3 out of 5 times. And I believe he is using a Decatur Ka gun. However, my V1 seems to work fine detecting the other 35.5 guns in town.

I called Valentine support and they told me to send my V1 in for a checkup, but I haven't had time lately and otherwise my V1 seems to work fine. I am not sure what is different (slightly out of tune maybe) about the Jeep's Ka gun, but my V1 sure struggles with it.
