I havent gotten the chance to test Ka yet, but wow it's like a complete new detector literally. So far, i'm very well happy with it

How's your X50 going so far?

So far it is very quiet and I enjoy its great filtering. It has the best filtering by far of any detector but still seems to detect the important stuff.

The only thing i dont like is that the volume could potentially be a problem (even in loud mode) and also its rear detection/off axis abilities aren't quite up the par with the V1 (but i'm only basing this on a few encounters). The V1 has a rear antenna though so that is probably why.

Its really hard to say at the moment but for my purposes I'm sure it would do fine.

I agree with the rear detection capabilities.
