Default This is the sort off BS I'm talking about.

Hell do they think we are mushrooms?

These guy's seem to think that most people are dum. How many total BS lie's can you pick up???

In 1996 Radar Direct Introduced the Valentine One® into New Zealand. Before this the model was unheard of; and after weeks of testing and customization of the internal software we submitted the product to NZ AutoCar for testing.

The result was that the V1 was rated #1 in NZ up until the end of 2004, by 2005 AUNZ models from Beltronics were snapping at it's heals. For 2007 it remains Largely unchanged but is still a great detector. Today the BEL XR Has definitely knocked it off the top rung offering far greater detection range (more than a kilometre) and a host of additional features and functions. Reviews published by NZ AutoCar and NZ Driver have shown that the
Beltronics engineering powerhouse is sweeping the rest of the industry aside.

Here in New Zealand the radar set used by the Police operates in the upper reaches of the radar spectrum. In North America there is a wide variety of radar equipment in use and as the Valentine One® is designed to cover all the American frequencies in its US Domestic form it's basically hopeless for our frequency set and needs to have software changes made to achieve the best performance standards that we expect from products that we sell. After 11 years Radar Direct offers our own version of the Valentine One that's been fully software modified by us to best suit it's operation in NZ

The radar unit's use by NZ police are all made in the US. What I'm showing here is the Bum rap VR get pretty much because the profit's with bell are far greater and the shear greed far out weighs the love and passion offered by the V1 owner.
    any comments?

That is classic Bel literature by the famous writer, Master Craig Peterson, who is known for his BS classics.

I don't think anything is going to "knock off" the V1 until those patents are up. Here's to hoping that is influencing Valentine to raise the bar even higher.

Hey, CP is my hero. Don't talk about him like that. I love how he makes my V1 look sub par. It just makes him look like an ass when it performs well.

Ghz1, I am pretty sure it was that same website that claimed they had Mike Valentine do a specific NZ production run just for them to be sell in NZ.

In fact they said something to the tune of "the only company that MV supplies direct" or something like that.

Well we know VR won't ship outside of the US so.....

I tried to find the page but they removed it some time ago. Wish I had a screen shot.

    Default Bloody Annoying

EVERY website this side of the planet seems to be ramping up BEL and it's special, one off, different production line, made only in Australia XR models....but we really only turned off X band and put a sticker on top of the word STI...

In the market for a detector cos I've been stopped 3 times in 2 weeks - ticketed at 64 - fair enough -my bad...and been told off for doing 54 and 55 in a 50.....

I've emailed around 10 'authorised' dealers for Bel and found dozens more all claiming to modify the firmware on V1's and Bel to suit the special NZ conditions....

Coming from Scotland 3 years ago, and loving NZ, this is the first time I have blatantly been exposed to fraudulent information, obvious price fixing and general crap customer service from 'dealers' looking to bump their profits higher and higher...Thanks to the guys on this forum for some refreshing and direct facts about these black boxes ...

    Cheers

    Ged
