Default First post on this site....Just got my V1 yesterday

First I noticed that after about 45 minutes of driving the V1 is warm to the touch. Not uncomfortable by any means just warm. Never experienced this w/my Bel's. I was not in the sun, it was pwrd off beforehand and we have a complete overcast here in Raleigh NC today.
Played a bit w/the All Bogey, Logic and Adv. Logic. On the AL mode the V1 is still very sensitive around malls and strip malls. In All Bogey mode a dog bark will set it off : -) however this is not an issue for me as I want to know absolutely ALL potential threats!
Where can I get the programming guide? The V1 and I are still dating so I am not ready to take it to the next level yet (lol) but would like to know how in the future.
NC trooper was doing "instant on" on 540 around lunchtime today; he... didn't....get....me!! V1 busted him up and he kept shooting me from behind too! It's hella cool to know see where you are being shot from!
Any advise for a beginner would be very helpful guys, thanks.

    Temperature Range: Operating: -20°C to +70°C (-4°F to +158°F)
    Storage: -30°C to +85°C (-22°F to +185°F)

You can probably turn off X band in your area but make sure that cops don't use it. That will cut down on alot of the falsing and search around for how to set the K band muting times.

Here is the K band muting tutorial:

    Default Thanks Jazzy!

I have had RD's for years but never really explored the capabilities etc. How does one go about determining what frequencies are used in ones area (Raleigh NC and surrounding areas). They do use x band here. As strange as it may seem I have been clocked in X band and then immediately shot w/Ka from our state troopers here!
