what a price. I wonder what justifies it?

does one have to install it himself also?
    is it hard?
    it has to be concealed.

It is a standard windshield-mounting unit. look at www.valentine1.com that is waht it looks like. You can hide it completely, and have a "remote display" as well,

Considering the V1 has such a low detection level to Spectre (190 ft) I question whether you really need the Australian Mod. At least not $1400 worth. I think I'd spend the money on a really good stealth install and a GPS transponder to give the cop some doubt for a false detection.

Thinking about it, it should be very doable to turn off the V1 when you see a Spectre trap (ie a dark coloured Impala with police wheels in the median) and not have the Spectre make a beep considering the low range of the Spectre on the newest V1. 166 feet or so is not very far when you are going 110km/h (I'd hope... )
