Well, Iíve had my V1 for a few months now and have been relatively happy with it. Problem was that I havenít really had the chance to test it.
Well took a long road trip last weekend (through MD, PA, NY, Ontario) and decided to turn X back onÖjust in case. I have to say I was very impressed! I only went through one radar trap and the V1 warned me with Ka about a half a mile away. Probably would have been better but there were a lot of hills and trees in the way and he was on the other side of the highway. In Canada, I picked up a LEO (Ka again) cruising toward me probably more than a few miles down the road. I was floored how much advanced warning I got this time. It seems that the Canadian LEOs keep their radar on when cruising more so than their US counterparts. Are there differences in the radar that they use? It seems that some are more powerful than others. Actually Iíve never picked up a LEO in the US while cruising and Iím wondering whether others have noticed this trend?
Other than the half a dozen speed signs I passed in construction zones, the V1 was very quiet.
