What Mode Do You Run In The Most?

After 3 full weeks of using my new V1, I'm finding that I prefer to run in Advanced-Logic (Big L) mode in areas that I'm familiar. When I'm in unfamiliar territory or more rural areas, I'll switch to All Bogeys (A) mode briefly, but after a few home alarms and such, I move on up to Logic (Little L) mode. Once I enter a suburban/metro area again, I bump back up to the Big L. I look at the Big L as my "city" mode.

I run in full logic (big L) mode all the time. But then X band use by LEOs is as scarce as hen's teeth around here.

If/when I travel to New Jersey I would probably switch to A mode on the highway.

kpatz, do you not run A mode on all highway travels - just Jersey?

f_399, if you run small L most of the time, why bother with the A at all? Doesn't the small L just mute the weak X band signals?

I run advanced logic 99% of the time. If I am canyon driving I will switch to A, but I really just do it as a psychological thing, I don't actually believe I'll miss something if I'm in big L. Oh, and X-band is turned off with no regrets (but, I live in CA).

I live in NH, and I haven't seen speed radar on X band in over a decade, so using A mode around here would only result in more falses. I could turn off X entirely but with my luck they'd start using it the next day. :twisted:

On my pre-POP V1, L mode doesn't affect K band at all, unless you change option 7. So I lose nothing except falses by staying in L mode.

In NJ they use X band a lot so that's about the only place I would switch to A mode.

small L mutes both X and K (my Big L doesnt seem to automute X or K)

in the Highway I would want to hear the alerts at full volume
